WHITE FUSED ALUMINA

White Fused Alumina (WFA) is derived from calcined alumina using a specific electro fusion process, resulting in a highly pure and durable abrasive and refractory material. It features high chemical stability and high melting point which makes it a material of choice for high-performance applications.

Detailed Chemical and Physical Properties

Component Chemical Composition
Al2O3 99.5% minimum, promoting exceptional hardness and thermal properties.
SiO2 Maximum 0.3%, minimizing brittleness.
Fe2O3 Typically less than 0.1%, to ensure high purity necessary for sensitive applications.
Na2O Controlled below 0.4% to prevent any adverse effects on chemical stability.
Other oxides Trace amounts of TiO2, CaO, MgO, each below 0.05%.
